Haven View

Broad Haven, Pembrokeshire · sleeps 8 · 4 bedrooms

On the hill at the north end of Broad Haven, this modern family house does the two things west-coast houses should: it reaches the beach in a five-minute flat walk, and its living room and balcony face due west, so the nightly St Brides Bay sunset arrives with dinner.

Four bedrooms, two family bathrooms, a garage full of body boards and windbreaks left by tradition, and an enclosed garden. Little Haven's pubs are a fifteen-minute low-tide beach walk (or five over the headland); Newgale's surf and the Marloes puffin boats are both within twenty minutes' drive.

Why we recommend it

The west-facing sunset-plus-walkable-sand combination is the whole reason to choose Broad Haven, and this house has the best cost-per-bedroom version of it we've listed.
