Dog Friendly stays in Pembrokeshire

Pembrokeshire is one of the best counties in Britain for a holiday with your dog — but only if you plan around the seasonal beach rules. Many of the most famous beaches (Tenby's Castle Beach and North Beach, Saundersfoot, Newgale's central section) restrict dogs from 1 May to 30 September, while others — Amroth's western end, Freshwater West, Marloes Sands, Broad Haven South and Newport Sands among them — welcome dogs all year.

Every dog-friendly property we list states how many dogs are accepted where the provider supplies it. When choosing, think about a secure garden, proximity to a year-round dog beach, and a pub that lets your dog dry off by the fire — we flag all three. The Pembrokeshire Coast Path is dog-friendly along almost its whole length (on leads near livestock and clifftops), so a base near the path turns every morning into a proper walk.
