Why we recommend it

A detached house that pre-dates the chapel beside it — built, the listing says, for a family and its farm animals — with views to the coast from all three king-size bedrooms (one en-suite, one convertible to twins), a roll-top bath, a wood burner in the lounge and underfloor heating in the ground-floor shower room. Large lawned gardens with woodland beyond, parking for four cars, and Porthgain's harbour, pub-restaurant and gallery close by, with pub and shop within walking distance and St Davids an easy drive. Three bathrooms between six is the practical detail.
