What we know is missing or weak
- We have not visited most of the places we list. Where we have, we say so on the page.
- Opening hours and dog rules move with the season. Treat anything we show as a starting point and check with the venue.
- Castlemartin range road status now comes live from the MOD's firing notice on GOV.UK, shown on the St Govan's, Stack Rocks, Bosherston and Castlemartin pages — with the MOD's own caveat that closures can change without notice.
- Tide times are live on beach and walk pages — UKHO Admiralty predictions for the nearest station, refreshed twice a day, with the distance to that station stated because the tide two miles away is not identical.
- Bathing water quality is live on designated beaches — NRW's own latest classification via their open data, linked to the official record. Most beaches are not designated bathing waters; those pages show nothing rather than an invented score.
- Coverage is thinner inland than on the coast, because that's where the visitor information exists.

Two venues on the site are owned by the person who runs it; they are labelled as such and are excluded from every ranked list, which is why you'll only ever see them in their own box.
