Ancient mariners' pub on East Angle Bay, reached by a tidal track — the highest tides cut it off, which is half the charm.
Lindsway Bay
A cliff-backed sandy bay near St Ishmaels that empties with the tide and is never busy even when it exists.
Lindsway Bay is the Milford Haven waterway's best-kept secret: a genuinely sandy bay backed by high cliffs on the outer, cleaner reach of the Haven, looking across to the Angle peninsula. The catch that keeps it quiet is simple — the sand is generous at low tide and almost gone at high, and the way in is a footpath and steps from the lane at Great Castle Head, not a car park with a kiosk.
Bring everything you need and check the tide before you set out. On a falling tide it is a superb afternoon: firm sand, rock pools at each end, big-ship traffic sliding past in the deep channel as entertainment. The Coast Path along the top gives an easy circular back through St Ishmaels.
