A sheltered snorkelling cove with a Norman church at its back — the quiet start of the Marloes peninsula.
St Brides Haven is a small, deeply sheltered cove of sand (low tide) and shingle beside the Norman church of St Bridget, with a restored lime kiln on the slip and early-Christian graves cut into the rock of the foreshore — this has been a landing place for as long as Christianity has been in Wales. The hamlet behind is a handful of estate buildings; the peace is total.
Its modern reputation is underwater: the sheltered, rocky, weed-forested edges of the cove make it one of Pembrokeshire's most reliable easy snorkelling spots, and on calm days the water clarity is superb. A small car park by the church, no other facilities, and the Coast Path west launches the great Marloes peninsula circuit — Musselwick, Martin's Haven and the Deer Park.
