Manor Wildlife Park

Two miles from Tenby on the edge of St Florence, Manor Wildlife Park has been run on conservation lines since it was taken over in 2008, and describes the years since as turning a dilapidated animal park into a serious facility. The layout is what makes it: walk-through enclosures where you're in with the ring-tailed lemurs, a wallaby safari where the animals are hand-fed, red panda woods, a valley of apes with gibbons and howler monkeys, rhinos and Sumatran tigers. Adults were £27.95 and children (2–16) £23.95 when we checked (September 2026), with a carer admitted free alongside a paying visitor with the right paperwork; an annual pass pays for itself on the third visit and locals get a further discount through the Pembrokeshire Pass. No need to pre-book. For a splurge there are keeper-for-a-day and meet-the-animals experiences from around £85.

Paths are surfaced with cockle shells and the park calls itself fully accessible, flagging two steep or narrow stretches to avoid with a wheelchair; large-wheeled wheelchairs are lent free and mobility scooters hired. No dogs — not even well-behaved ones, in their words — but parking is free. Under cover there's a hay-play barn, an indoor bouncy castle and a café, which is why it appears in our rainy-week plan.
