Tenby · Sleeps 4 · 2 beds
Georgian fisherman's cottage inside the town walls with a harbour view from the sitting room.
The postcard one: harbour, Goscar Rock and sheltered sand beneath the pastel town.
North Beach is the Tenby of the photographs — the sweep of sand below the walled town, Goscar Rock rising from the middle, the harbour's moored boats at one end. It's the most sheltered of Tenby's beaches, with gentle bathing on neap tides and the town's cafés a staircase away. It gets busy, and deservedly: for a morning swim before the crowds with the sun on the pastel terraces, there are few better places in Britain to be.
Hand-picked places within easy reach of the sand.
