9 holiday parks in and around Tenby, Pembrokeshire.
Caravan and holiday parks in and around Tenby — touring pitches, statics and lodges — with websites where we have them.
Tenby has nine holiday parks, and the word "park" is doing a lot of work in that sentence. Two of them take a touring caravan. Two more are ownership developments whose own websites never mention holiday hire at all. One is a 220-acre resort with a water slide and a Burger King; another is a walk-to-town static park that deliberately has no entertainment because it doesn't think you need any.
So before the list, the thing that actually decides where you book.
Mostly, no. Of the nine, only two say on their own websites that they take touring caravans, motorhomes or tents:
Rowston is a genuine maybe. It is licensed for 130 tent and tourer pitches, but the Hean Castle Estate, which took the park over, published a note saying it would not be accepting tents and tourers "for the first year or so". That page carries no date and the park's own website would not load for us, so ring before you drive.
The other five — Penally Court, Northcliff, Penally Grange, Saltern and Wood Park — say nothing about touring, motorhomes or tents anywhere on their own sites. Northcliff is the bluntest about it: "We are a static caravan park only we do not cater for tents, tourers, motorhomes or campervans."
Worth knowing before you spend an evening trying to book. Penally Grange presents itself as an exclusive development of 45 luxury lodges for sale. Wood Park's current site markets holiday-home ownership only — new and pre-owned caravans and lodges — with no hire, booking or pets page anywhere in its sitemap. Third-party agencies do advertise lodges at Penally Grange for rent, but that is the agency's claim, not the park's.
Every holiday park in Tenby is within a mile and a half of the Five Arches, which is not true of most seaside towns. Straight-line distances from each park's mapped position — real walking routes are longer, and New Hedges sits up a hill:
| Park | Town centre | Nearest beach | Station |
|---|---|---|---|
| Saltern | 0.4 mi | 0.3 mi (South) | 0.1 mi |
| Northcliff | 0.6 mi | 0.4 mi (North) | 0.6 mi |
| Kiln Park | 0.7 mi | 0.5 mi (South) | 0.5 mi |
| Windmills | 0.8 mi | 0.7 mi (North) | 0.8 mi |
| Penally Court | 1.1 mi | 0.8 mi (South) | 0.9 mi |
| Penally Grange | 1.2 mi | 1.0 mi (South) | 0.9 mi |
| Rowston | 1.2 mi | 1.0 mi (North) | 1.2 mi |
| Well Park | 1.2 mi | 1.1 mi (North) | 1.2 mi |
| Wood Park | 1.4 mi | 1.2 mi (North) | 1.3 mi |
Saltern is the one to beat for walking: a third of a mile to South Beach and a hundred yards from the station. Penally Court has its own trick — Penally has a railway halt, and the park says the station is "just steps" away, so Tenby is one stop up the line.
The big one, and the only resort park in the list. 220 acres, adjacent to a Blue Flag beach, with a heated indoor pool and water slide, an outdoor pool open July and August, the Marina Bar and Stage, an arcade, a supermarket, crazy golf, tennis, a climbing wall, archery, kart hire and a row of food outlets. Static caravans and lodges for hire, plus the 107 touring and camping pitches. Dogs welcome, up to two per touring pitch, with a dog-friendly beach and restaurant terrace.
Touring rules are published and specific: no pup tents, no gazebos or event shelters, no sleeping in awnings, no awnings with annexes, no additional car.
If you want your children entertained without leaving the site, this is the only one of the nine that does it.
Haven's quiet sister site — 48 static caravans, an outdoor pool from 6 July to the end of August, a play area, and, in their own words, "no entertainment or activities at Penally Court". Guests can use Kiln Park's indoor pool, restaurant, bar and supermarket less than a mile away. Dogs welcome. The park describes itself as "small, secluded and peaceful", and the beach is a ten to fifteen minute walk.
The pitch here is straightforward: Kiln Park's facilities without Kiln Park's noise.
Statics only, family owned, and positioned hard on one thing — proximity. Their own site claims the closest park to North Beach and Tenby town, "a few minutes walking distance of the beach and 10 minutes walk into Tenby town", with "no need to use your car". The Pembrokeshire Coast Path passes the park entrance, and Waterwynch and Saundersfoot are walkable along it. Setting described as secluded, surrounded by trees and fields.
Their site lists no facilities at all — no pool, bar, shop or play area — and says nothing about dogs. Ring and ask.
A static park on the edge of town with a children's play area, manned reception seven days a week, and a deliberate absence of everything else: their own copy says guests have "no need for on-park entertainment", because the town is a short walk away. Open 1 March to 30 November. Dog-friendly caravans are available, taking up to two pets, with conditions set out in their terms.
For walking into Tenby, it is the strongest of the nine.
The most mixed park here, and the most idiosyncratic. Touring caravans, motorhomes and tents, plus holiday cottages and static caravans. Electric hook-ups on most pitches, hardstanding super pitches with water and drainage, a launderette with ironing facilities, free showers, a family room, a play area with swings and a sandpit, and — on their older site — a residents' lounge bar with a pool table and an adjoining games room. A Wales in Bloom award-winning park, with manicured gardens, flower beds, rockeries and a fish pond.
Two things to read before booking. It is family only: their terms state that "all male/female parties or mixed groups of young people cannot be accepted", in hired units or on pitches. And dogs are limited — "One dog is permitted with a Touring Caravan or Tent, but must be kept on a lead at ALL times". Whether dogs are allowed in the hired cottages and caravans is not stated.
Nearest beach is about fifteen minutes' walk, and there is a bus stop and a cycle path into Tenby.
Between Tenby and Saundersfoot at New Hedges, family-owned, with a self-service launderette and a children's play park, an extended season of 1 March to 4 January, and a bus stop outside the entrance. As noted above, the current site sells holiday homes rather than letting them, so treat it as an ownership park unless they tell you otherwise.
45 luxury lodges in a gated development, each with a private hot tub on the patio, two to four bedrooms with en-suites, in landscaped grounds near the Coast Path and the 15th-century church. Presented for sale rather than for hire on their own site. The only park of the nine that mentions hot tubs.
We would rather say so than guess. Rowston's own website returned an error every time we tried it; what we know comes from the managing estate — 18 acres, licensed for 135 statics and 130 tent and tourer pitches, under new management, with an undated note about not taking tourers initially. Windmills has no official website we could find at all; the listings that come up in a search are directory sites, not the park. For both, the phone is the honest route.
Bringing your own van: Kiln Park or Well Park, and Well Park only if you are a family group.
Children who need entertaining in the rain: Kiln Park, and nothing else here comes close. If the weather is the whole worry, an all-weather resort inland is a different answer — see the Bluestone guide.
Walking into town: Saltern first, then Northcliff, then Kiln Park.
Quiet: Penally Court, which has the facilities of a resort a mile away and none of them on site.
A dog: Kiln Park and Penally Court welcome them outright; Saltern has pet-friendly units; Well Park allows one, on a lead, on a touring pitch. The rest do not say.
Holiday parks are only part of the picture in Tenby. If a cottage or an apartment suits you better, the Tenby stay guide covers those, and there are more parks a few miles up the coast at Saundersfoot and inland around Narberth.
Every fact above comes from each park's own published information, checked in September 2026. We have not stayed at these parks and do not quote prices — those change constantly and the park's own website is the only honest source. Where a park does not publish something, we say so rather than fill the gap.
