The castle has no accommodation, so every guest stays elsewhere. It is available until 00:45 with music to midnight, and it sits at the western end of Pembroke's Main Street: a bed in Pembroke itself means you can walk back at the end of the night.

Pembroke has a railway station on the branch line through Tenby, and Pembroke Dock is next door. See also where to stay in Pembroke.

Places to stay near Pembroke Castle

Data-driven pick

Matched from our own database of places to stay by type, size and distance, nearest first. Not individually checked by us, and not chosen, approved or recommended by Pembroke Castle. Distances are straight lines from the venue’s postcode (SA71 4LA); drive times are our estimate from that distance, not a route planner’s.

Houses and cottages sleeping 8 to 16, within about 15 minutes

First, because wedding guests are mostly families and groups of friends: one shared house is usually cheaper and easier than several hotel rooms.

Holiday parks and lodges within about 20 minutes

Lodges and caravans, often the easiest way to keep a group together on one site.

Hotels and B&Bs within about 20 minutes

The answer for exactly two nights, especially in August (see below). Most are listed from our places database and link to their own websites, not through a booking partner.

Getting there and back, and booking

Getting back at night

Don’t plan on Uber: it does not book licensed taxis in Pembrokeshire. Taxis here are small independent firms, so book your return for the end of the night before the day, and ask whether the couple has arranged a shared minibus or coach.

What Pembroke Castle publishes about timings: Weddings only February to early July and September to early November. Castle available until 00:45, music to midnight. Plan the journey back around that, not around the last bus.

The coastal buses run seven days a week only in summer, and there is no evening timetable, so a bus will not get you home from a wedding.

Two-night stays

Pembroke Castle’s published wedding season leaves out mid-July and August, so the peak-season squeeze on holiday lets doesn’t apply to its dates. Short stays are usually easier to find outside the school holidays, but for a Saturday wedding in a busy month, book early all the same.

September weddings and Ironman Wales

Ironman Wales closes roads across the south of the county for most of a Sunday in September; in 2026 that included the roads around Pembroke. If the wedding is on the Saturday of Ironman weekend, guests leaving on the Sunday need to know the closures. See where to stay for Ironman Wales for the 2026 closure times and the 2027 date.
