Woodhouse Barn has log cabins and bell tents on site. The venue doesn't say how many they sleep; Guides for Brides puts it at around 30. With up to 250 in the evening, most guests stay off site.

The venue says cars left overnight must be collected by 2pm the next day, and there is a coach turning point, which makes a shared coach from a nearby town a real option. Neyland, Milford Haven and Haverfordwest are the nearest towns.

Data-driven pick

Matched from our own database of places to stay by type, size and distance, nearest first. Not individually checked by us, and not chosen, approved or recommended by Woodhouse Barn. Distances are straight lines from the venue’s postcode (SA73 1LH); drive times are our estimate from that distance, not a route planner’s.

Houses and cottages sleeping 8 to 16, within about 15 minutes

First, because wedding guests are mostly families and groups of friends: one shared house is usually cheaper and easier than several hotel rooms.

Holiday parks and lodges within about 20 minutes

Lodges and caravans, often the easiest way to keep a group together on one site.

Hotels and B&Bs within about 20 minutes

The answer for exactly two nights, especially in August (see below). Most are listed from our places database and link to their own websites, not through a booking partner.

Getting there and back, and booking

Getting back at night

Don’t plan on Uber: it does not book licensed taxis in Pembrokeshire. Taxis here are small independent firms, so book your return for the end of the night before the day, and ask whether the couple has arranged a shared minibus or coach.

The coastal buses run seven days a week only in summer, and there is no evening timetable, so a bus will not get you home from a wedding.

August weddings and two-night stays

August Saturdays are also changeover days for many holiday lets, so agencies often show three- or four-night breaks starting on the changeover day. In peak season a Friday-to-Sunday cottage may simply not exist; if you want exactly two nights, a hotel or B&B is usually the answer.

For an August date, book as early as you can, even a year out. The date is fixed; the beds near it are not.
