Illustrated beach scene for Saundersfoot Beach

Saundersfoot Beach

Huge, safe, gently-shelving village sand — one of Wales's classic family beaches, with the harbour alongside.

Saundersfoot's beach does the simple things perfectly: acres of clean, flat sand at low tide, gentle shelving for safe paddling, the harbour wall for crabbing, and the village's ice creams thirty seconds from your towel. The tide comes in a long way — time sandcastle campaigns for the falling tide. Through the tunnel north, Coppet Hall adds a quieter continuation with its own parking and café, and the tramway path carries on to Wiseman's Bridge and Amroth for the best flat family walk in the county.
