There are 4 beaches within about 5 miles of Castlemartin. The closest is Broad Haven South, 2.8 miles away as the crow flies — further by road, because almost everything here is further by road.

Only one — Freshwater West — has RNLI lifeguard cover, and only in season. Everywhere else on this list, you're judging the water yourself.

All of them welcome dogs year round — unusual, and worth knowing if you're travelling with one.

Parking is the constraint: only 1 has a mapped car park within half a mile, and in July and August those fill by mid-morning.
