The Gwaun Valley's legendary front-room pub — beer through a hatch, unchanged in living memory.
Pubs in Pembrokeshire
156 pubs across 22 Pembrokeshire towns and villages.
Pembrokeshire has around 150 pubs, and the best of them are usually the least convenient. Most sit where the work used to be — quarry harbours, ferry crossings, fishing coves — so getting there is half the day out.
Harbour pubs at Solva, Porthgain, Dale, Little Haven, Saundersfoot and Tenby. Busiest in the couple of hours after the tide turns.
Coast Path pubs like the Sloop at Porthgain, the Old Point House at Angle and the Stackpole Inn near Barafundle. These are the natural stops on the best day walks, and most of them know it.
Village locals inland, in the Gwaun Valley and around the Preselis. Smaller rooms, Welsh at the bar, and in a couple of places beer still poured from a jug.
Every pub we have a record for is below, grouped by where it is. Off-season, ring before you walk: rural hours change with the season and the smallest places don't post them anywhere.

Manorbier's village local, five minutes from castle and beach.
Kilgetty, SA68 0TE
Time-capsule creekside pub at Cresswell Quay — beer served from the jug, tide lapping the wall outside.
Water's-edge pub on Dale seafront — crab and lobster from the bay, sunsets over the anchorage.
Solva's harbourside local — outside tables by the boats at high tide.
Ancient mariners' pub on East Angle Bay, reached by a tidal track — the highest tides cut it off, which is half the charm.
